Hello, Clothahump, Jr.
Don’t be mean to Clothahump. He doesn’t have as many people ignored as I do. In my safe space…
It’s tricky because it’s done with nano-technology. You probably wouldn’t understand it.
He might, if you put it on a plack.
This is true, but learning how the “ignore” function works on a message board is something that every civilization only has to do once. Once a civilization has achieved that transformational milestone, it constitutes a technological singularity wherein they can deploy autonomous self-replicating factories to put all life forms on ignore all over the galaxy.
Seconded! A fun read!
Cool. “Singing meat.” Maybe Linnaeus should have labeled our species Carne cantans.

Whatever it was, it’s cornfielded now.
Bwhahaahaha, tech is trivial, but you need instructions on how to use message board software. I’ll take any further comment you have on technology with all due consideration.
I don’t like meatloaf, so someone in the thread can have mine.
It was an explanation, Shagnasty like, pointing out that harassment is caused by hiring women instead of men. Something stupid like that.
Cornfielded. Mods are really getting a workout, poor things.
While the trolls here spend most of their time flapping their meat at everybody.
Morgenstern, what the hell?? A few months ago you were ranting and raving at me (I didn’t forget your threat) and a few other posters, but now you’re posting really cool things like this and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying your posts. I’m having trouble being annoyed with you.
I hope we can get along now. Peace.
Here’s the secret. When a place starts to piss you off, it’s time to take a break. The dope and some of the dopers started to piss me off, so I took a +/- 90 day break. Now, I forget who pissed me off and what I was pissed off about. Anyway, I accept half of the blame, for everything, even if I don’t remember it.
nm.
Welcome back. You were missed.
Awesome. Perhaps Little Ed should make some version of this into a sticky — I’m serious.
The strategy is a fine idea. I’m not impressed, however, that he is only taking half the blame for things that he wrote. A person’s reactions to what other people write or say is still that person’s responsibility, 100%. If someone can’t control their rage (for example), even when thoroughly provoked, then some internal thinking should be going on about how to keep that rage from having an impact on innocent bystanders.
I gather Morgenstern is a fairly popular poster, and I don’t have anything against him (sorry about the gender assumption, especially if it is incorrect) but this rankled somewhat.
Roderick, point well taken — but I, for one, find it hard to acknowlege even 50% responsibility when feeling righteously indignant (in my case, more often IRL than on these boards). Baby steps.
