Yes, because “that’s racist” you politically correct asshole. Smart people are less violent. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, most smart kids are white or asian. Maybe it isn’t genetics and maybe black people can perform in the right 1% of the bell curve…but they are vanishingly rare. But yeah I shouldn’t have mentioned race…though if I had left the words “white and asian” out of that sentence, it would work out to be the same damn thing in reality.

This raises an interesting question… at what point does it become clear that the singling-out of your ideological peers as being particularly reprehensible is less a matter of persecution, but rather an indicator that, perhaps, the ideology you hold is reprehensible when taken at face value, and tends to attract horrible people?

As long as Conservatives embrace the jackass we have as president, they don’t get to pretend that they’re better than he is. If they want to post about their support for his irrational jackassery on this messageboard, the rest of us aren’t obligated to pretend that they’re just good people.

I saw that. His first thread was about finding a college where he fit in at his age, the second thread was about how worthless degrees are.

Now, it’s December, the semester is about over. Finals are upon him. He’s in panic mode. And he wants us to agree that a degree is a waste of time. I wonder why?

As so often, there’s a kernel of truth in the center of a great snowball of bullshit.

A bachelor’s degree used to be an all-but guaranteed ticket to the upper part of the middle class. And did not require mortgaging your, or your parent’s, future to obtain. Both those are much less true today than they were.

One hell of a lot of people, myself included, have lived the disappointment of learning the hard way that the economic situation of 1945-1965 is not in fact a permanent birthright of all Americans for all time.

OTOH, to only just now be getting that memo seems kinda lame on his part.

I was a TA in graduate school. I have no idea how some of those kids even got into college.
