Actually in rationalist circles you hear about this a fair bit, and it’s not quite as awful as all that. To me, the closer pattern match is not “see, sexual harassment works sometimes, so it’s okay sometimes”, but rather, “Our current social mores on flirtation and sexuality are kinda fucked, and this leads to a social equilibrium wherein sometimes overtly abusive behavior is successful and favored.” Then again, I’m a total weirdo, so maybe that’s just me. I also didn’t read much past the first few posts, so maybe it got worse, I dunno.

The post you are responding to does not in any way resemble your summary of it. It at no point says that everyone who disagrees with the poster is a Nazi. It says those who stand back and claim both sides are just as bad are just as bad as Nazis.

The tactic you are using here is a certain kind of strawman, where you pretend the liberals are attacking anyone they disagree with. You refuse to read the actual content and debate it on its merits. You instead make up something obviously bad and attack it. That doesn’t further any discussion. It is just the same vilification you are crying out against.
