Looks like there are a handful of people I’d consider ‘trolls’ who seem to want to turn this forum into their own little ‘safe space’.
Definitely isn’t the majority here, but say something this little crew if you will digress with or offends them for God knows what reason, and immediately the cries of “troll” or “I hope the mods ban you after Xmas” start without any posts showing forum violations.

You might note that there are always ongoing disagreements among posters here of various political and ideological views, including those who are consistently conservative and tend to run against the grain of the majority here – some were mentioned here, and I can think of a number of others. I don’t know of any established member here who is offended by a differing point of view, and in fact I find that thoughtfully expressed differences of opinion are constructive because they sometimes force you to think harder about your argument or gather additional facts to support it. Personally, I welcome such posters, and I’m sure most others do as well.
This is not the problem that the comments about you are addressing. They are addressing the fact that you are a useless fuckwit and a waste of space who makes no such contribution to discussions. One of the first posts I made here was arguing that evolution is logically similar to the creation and development of human technologies, which can be empirically observed.
…then immediately some poster showed up demanding that I be banned, I guess for ‘denying evolution’ when I wasn’t denying evolution, merely stating that it doesn’t conflict with the notion of creation by some higher intelligence.
So not only was he calling for censorship but was straight up lying about me and claiming I was arguing that “evolution isn’t real”. Just a militant Humanist trying to silence someone who doesn’t tow his philosophical line.
