Yeah. My point was not to protect or defend the kid, but to point out grownups don’t need to be wasting perfectly good ammo on him.
IMO, and probably typically for my era, I think the ideal adult personality is stronger on defense than on offense. But still packs a KO punch to be used when needed.
It seems the modern Internet Warrior generation are the opposite. What little they can muster in effective offense totally dwarfs their pitiful ability to take punishment in return. So they run or erect barriers from behind which they launch their pitiful outrage arrows towards that Mean Old World.
