Omnibus Trolls R Us Thread

Two suspicious entries in Acey’s “Where did all the arms go” thread:

Analog Aptitude

Ivory Tower Denizen 1
Leo Bloom 0

I got a comment in before it was locked. Can I get a point?

I just find it amusing that, right now, the next thread in “New Posts”, is “Lies you tell your pets”

Yeah, but -100 points for clicking on the thread.

Fair enough.

It looks like something that happens when you leave your account open. I’m thinking about sending him a PM to ask.

I think he’s in the bottle. Not the first time, I believe.

Could have been worse. I misread it as he put hollandaise on his hot dog. Yuck!

That’s not worse…

What about ketchup?

Has alterego always been a nutter or is it something in the water today:

If he ever comes back from his suspension, maybe he’ll post a link to one of them memes I’m apparently too old and dusty to have found on my own.

Apparently, I now gather that what he thought was the meme was the concept of asking for something untoward and claiming that they wanted it for some other purpose. He further thought that his line “Where can I find a link to this so I can make sure no one ever does that?” was an example of that concept and that it should have been clear to anyone who wasn’t a “dusty old fart.”

I’ve never really noticed him before, but judging from threads like this, “always a nutter” is a distinct possibility. (Not for the question but for the jerkish responses he made to anyone who tried to answer it.)

I am not dusty (quite fresh, thank you) and I didn’t get it, at. all.

Personally I would then have changed the moderation to this:

Username/subject winner.
Surprised I’m the first.

Thread in question. What’s weird to me is that it appears he’s flipping out over a mod note that jokes may not always be obvious. He responded, got told to take it to ATMB, and then got even more upset. And still Colibri gave him one more chance.

I have seen the meme he was talking about on Reddit, but that was a poor example. There’s supposed to be something forbidden but also desirable. Usually I see it used about porn. “She looks great in that leaked sex tape!” “Where can I find this porn, so I can be sure no one uses it?” It’s similar to the older “for research” meme.

Ha. Just went to Reddit after posting that, and happened to run across an example. A guy talks about how women went commando in sundress-style rompers during a heat wave, and, on a windy day, he saw a lot of “cooches.” So a guy replies “Where do you live where this sort of thing happens? I want to know so I can avoid going there, even by accident.”

I’m pretty sure that’s the meme alterego was trying to mimic.

Like me saying I want to know who advertises on Laura Ingraham’s show so I can know not to buy their products?

He did a REALLY bad job of mimicking that.
