Regardless of how easy it is, it’s pretty jerkish to doxx someone merely because they are related to another poster. You really should know better.

I’m honestly surprised it wasn’t a Warning. There is a big no doxxing rule here. Guy got banned for taking things to real life once, even.
It wasn’t any type of link to a personal website, it was simply a link to a Google search for the name, the profession, and the city–all of which were taken directly from the guy’s post, and all of which Colibri left in my comment here, deleting only the trivally-easy linking. I thought and continue to think that it was stretching the term “doxing” far past the breaking point, but had no desire to argue it with Colibri, either here or on ATMB.

Whether it’s called doxxing or not is beside the point, as is how easy it was. Whatever you want to call it, it was still jerkish. You express concern that the poster is providing too much information on himself and his family, and then you link directly to the address of his brother. You could have easily made your point without that. And it’s correct that you could have received a warning for that, for being a jerk.
Hell, I’ve been warned for doxxing when all I was trying to do was post evidence of a possible ckalli sock.

Have we ever discussed Delicious? He joins the thread on post 8 with a suggestion to drown kittens, and then suggests eating them. I see zero chance he is not a troll.
