I have memories that this is not new, but no cites right now. He’s certainly flying his freak flag high at the moment. When people say the Dope is a bastion of liberals, they really aren’t paying attention.
Or they are, but they’re hoping no one else is so they can whine about how persecuted they are.
It isn’t a “bastion” in the sense of a secure and impenetrable fortress, but a few loudmouthed conservatives that the Dope tolerates does not mean that there isn’t a preponderence of liberals here. But it is ironic that they claim that they are not tolerated by the liberally-skewing mods, yet conservative-leaning sites would be much quicker with the banhammer against equivalently [del]obnoxious[/del] outspoken liberals. Most of the sites would be triggered against even polite liberals, yet the polite conservatives here never get warnings and rarely get pushback from hoi polloi. (I assume that there are some conservative boards with intellectual pretensions that would tolerate polite liberals.)

Fox New is 60% mostly false or completely false misinformation. Of course Liberals look like completely out of touch lunatics under their false narrative worldview. That is by design. So don’t get too upset when right wingers claim we’re insane, out of touch, etcetera. They are literally NOT living in the same world and they refuse to accept that theirs is the one based on lies and misinformation.

Maybe I’m a unique outlier in this regard, but if I visit a place and find it mostly full of despicable people that I can’t stand, I turn and walk out. I certainly don’t become a regular. I wonder, with these “loathe it, never leave it” types, whether the masochism extends to their day-to-day lives or is strictly an online thing.
