Poisoned Guy seems to be making a go of it, offering up this thread, revealing the vast, far-reaching conspiracy involving evil, family-inheritance-swindling doctors (and possibly the local waitresses) who are all in on it to poison the OP (over the course of many years), and then follows shit up with this helpful info-thread, stealthily moving in for the sales kill.

Don’t lie. You are definitely anti-science with your view of IQ testing: “Nevermind, I forget that some on your side of the aisle don’t like IQ tests because they are unfair in some magical sense”. You think those who do not accept your view of IQ tests are into “magic” instead of basing our stance on science.

Perhaps I could have phrased it better. Instead of being a reliable measure for intelligence or a tool to give a nice general idea about someones mental fortitude. A study came out saying “No, it’s not accurate, there are many different types of intelligence for many different people”. Yeah, no shit. How do we find a measurement that works.
When some other study (I think it was in 2012, I don’t remember off hand) tried to prove it to be inefficient it was loaded. Loaded with weasel words. “IQ testing is SOMEWHAT misleading” “may or may not be” " Can vary with individuals" and so on. Total garbage. A study or two is not incontrovertible proof that something does or doesn’t work. The hypothesis and theories worked, IQ testing works. Testing a hypothesis and theory and getting continuous similar results = Science.
You do not like IQ testing because you put stock in those studies, and it doesn’t fit your PC magical thinking that absolutely every single creature is created perfectly the same.
