Bo, is that you? I notice you and “Bo” never post on the same day! Sock, troll, meatpuppet, whatever! Am I doing this right?
Resorting to nothing but personal insults and troll accusations is a sign of a poor debater, Bo! Why not respond to one of my ignorant threads with something of substance in the thread, rather than generic goofball insults in a different one?
I did some research and found that “gyration” (or “gyrate”) is a key aspect of snowboarding (‘snowboarder’ bo), so busted there. “Gyrate” gives a location of greater cryodonia, “bo” as las vegas- am I to believe it is a coincidence there is a Croyden Street in greater las vegas? Not to mention the many numerical correlations between the join dates of the “two” - Nov 2000 (112000) and May 2005 (052005). So nice try.
As dumb as you think that is, is how dumb I think yours (or “Bo’s”) is.
I wouldn’t call it trolling, but dissing the Rodge is almost as contrary an opinion as starting a thread on “Who was the bigger asshole, Mister Rogers or Bob Ross?”
I agree- he is a revered figure by many, and I do not agree he should be, and I posted several reasoned, thought out examples of why I did not agree, and did not resort to personal attacks. I thought this was the place for rationale discourse? There would be no “great debates” if everyone agreed on everything, yes?
And someone then equates that with “slaves had a good life”. “why don’t women like being called b*tches” type threads? Someone really thinks dislike of an admittedly pompous know it all public figure could not possibly be sincere?
Ross or Rogers insults, I would agree would be cause for concern!
Your tone was not as reasoned and agreeable as you might think. The thread felt less like a casual chat with friends, and more like a sudden argument with a drunken stranger. Just like that, you’ve got a rep as a guy who picks fights, which makes you a…
Well my dislike for Ebert and his type is strong, and perhaps the tone of my post reflected that. But I didn’t just drop one line and run, I posted several paragraphs in the initial post supporting my position, and returned constantly to answer responses in a engaging manner, and was truly looking for actual reasons people hold him in high esteem, because I just don’t get it, and didn’t insult any who responded.
But I honestly don’t see how posting negative comments about, not someones mother, but again, Roger fucking Ebert (!) is “picking a fight”?
Aren’t you the guy who went on that rant about how many goals the U.S. team scored against Thailand? Insulting everyone’s inferior soccer knowledge but having to be informed of how tiebreakers work? And then your argument morphed into all the goals were fine except the one in stoppage time, and besides 2nd seed is better than 1st?
Yeah, we were all in awe of your amazing debating skills. The mods were so impressed, they had to kick you out of the thread.
I am aware of my posts in said thread and stand behind them.
Youre implying the moderator forbade me from posting in the thread again because of my horribly reasoned argument? He or she felt sorry I was getting my ass handed to me or something?
My views on the US-Thailand game are well stated in that thread and no one really wants to re-read them in this one, I am sure.
The odd thing is that you seem to feel my views on that game are uniquely my own. Everyone in the world had an opinion on that, and my guess is it was roughly 50-50 on either side. And you apparently think I should feel dumb or remorseful for having an opinion on an event I witnessed, especially one shared by half the people who saw it, including several who posted in the thread? Are they all morons as well, or only me?
You would have to ask the moderator for the reason for the banning, I don’t recall it being stated at the time, nor did I care enough to ask, but respected it nonetheless.
you have repeated that three times now, as though it is supposed to fill me with some sense of shame or embarrassment?
Yes, I was banned from posting in a thread. It is an albatross I will wear the rest of my life. I pray future employers or home loan outfits dont find out. Ok?
