It’s definitely a red flag, don’t get me wrong. You were right to bring them up. The post is very suspicious.
But a tell is that little bit of a slip-up that no one who was sincere would ever post. It’s when I know 100% that the poster is trolling. And I didn’t see that. And, without that, I thought it was too soon to be confident of trollery.
The poster was right on the line where they could be a typical conspiracy theorist, could be a troll, or could have schizophrenia. I would need to see a few more posts to decide. I wish I’d looked at their other posts, but now it seems it is too late.

From what I could see he was neither schizophrenic nor a troll (in the sense of being insincere in his beliefs). He just had some very screwed up beliefs.
