Some accused trolls have obvious mental issues.
Others are not trolls because they really do hold horrible opinions or ideas. They’re just truly awful human beings, but are not deliberately trying to get a rise.
The true trolls are the saddest cases. Essentially they are sitting at home, typing away, frantically trying to attract attention to themselves. ANY kind of attention… even negative attention. Effectively, they are desperately reaching out for any kind of human contact, a simple acknowledgement that they are part of a society (even a negative part). An acknowledgement that they even exist at all.
Their sense of self worth must be absolutely in the toilet.
