On the farm we grow a food that's everything ya need to eat

It’s a fruitavegabreadamilkacheezabeanameat.

A little nostalgia for you '70s kids courtesy of your Department of Agriculture.

Omigodomigodomigod! That used to be on while I was watching Captain Kangaroo, along with the Tootsie Roll Pop commerical and the Tootsie Roll ad (“The world looks mighty good to me, 'coz Tootsie Rolls are all I see …”)

Thanks for that link!

I can’t hear it at work, but right away two phrases sprang to mind, “Eat a variety every day!” and “Pea-nut butterrrr!” Seems like the peanut butter one was said by a dog, though…

Give a hoot! Don’t pollute!

gasp! All hail teh Intarwebs!

Tootsie Roll ad.

Now, if I could only find some footage of the old Hap Richards show …

Dang, they show that all the time around here (well, it’s “new heyday” was at least 5 years ago, but I still see it often enough). Are we an anomaly?
[sub]Tootsie roll I think I’m in love with you…[/sub]

I’m gonna admit. I opened this thread expecting to see some crazy-state-of-the-art genetically enhanced food product that farmers are now growing that includes all of the things you need to eat.

I remember the dog too. But not the peanut butter (although what dog doesn’t love peanut butter?)

And remember:

For variety and vitamins and feelin’ rooty toot
Eatavegabreadamilkacheezabeanameatafruit.

Only You can prevent forest fires.

I hope you all realize this is a steal from Lucille Ball vitameatavegamin many decades ago.

And its sister product, Fruitabreadamilkacheezabean, which failed in the marketplace.

personally, I Hanker for a Hunka Cheese.
