On the road again...

Just can’t wait to get on the road again.
I’m planning a road trip. I haven’t taken a long road trip in almost two years, so I’m so excited about it. I’m hoping it all works out.

I’ll be leaving the week sometime around November 14, heading through Chattanooga and Knoxville on my way to work stops in Western VA for work. By Friday, I’ll make it to the DC area, for a wedding on the 17th. Sunday, I’ll be heading down into NC/SC for another couple of work stops, then back to Atlanta in time for Thanksgiving.

I’ve had my atlas out for a week…looking for the best routes, thinking about drive times and such. Then thinking whether it’s better to rent a car or drive my own. Can I rent a car with a CD player? I hope so.

I’m thinking of checking into new hotel rooms…seeing new towns, even if all I’m doing is passing through.

Yippee!

Road trips are fun. Makes you appreciate the beauty of this country (US). Your itinerary looks great! Yes, you can check on car rentals with the CD player. Budget rents a Ford Ranger cheap, & it has CD. Trucks are good for being higher on the road for visibility. Orbitz is a good site for car rental:

Have fun!

Hey! DC Dopers love Dopefests! Hint, hint…

Violet, I’ll have to check that out, thanks.

And Geobabe, let me get my schedule a little more settled, and I’ll see what days I’ll have available.

Drive up through the Shenandoah Valley in Va. Not only is it God’s country…but it’s full of history too. Good luck, I am so envious…
