Road Trip, Baby, Yeah!

So, three weeks from tomorrow, I embark on a road trip. My husband and I are going to rent a car and drive, along with my sister and her boyfriend, down to Branson, MO. for our family reunion. I need opinions, advice, and input. My family loves road trips, and this will be the first I’ve taken since our honeymoon in September 1999. I haven’t travelled with my family since about 8 years ago. So:

-I want to make CDs of “driving music.” What should I burn onto some CDs? For reference, I like country (old and new), hubby likes classic rock (mostly The Doors), sister likes hip-hop and alternative (at least as of last week), and her boyfriend likes everything, especially Motown and oldies. Most of the songs will come from our collections, or we’ll download if needed. Which reminds me, where’s a good place on the net to legally download some stuff?

-Anyone know any fun road trip games? The alphabet game gets old after a while, so any suggestions would be helpful.

-I believe we’re taking I-57 from the Chicago area down to Branson. Any places that we should really stop to eat? We’ll probably stop for lunch near the IL/MO border, since we’re leaving at 5 a.m., and it’ll be lunch time by the time we get near there.

-Any other ideas or suggestions?
Man, I love road trips…

License plate bingo is fun.

Man, I could use a good road trip. It’s been too long. Have fun!
