On what channel are you watching the war?

It’s a tossup between Fox News and NBC. I prefer Fox’s coverage (and POV) but I also take comfort in Brokaw’s commentary delivered in his avuncular baritone imitated so well by Chris Parnell on SNL.

BBC World News

American networks are pretty much useless.

We’re supposed to be watching the war? I can’t be bothered because I have too many games for my PS2.

Most usually CBC, though I flip around a fair bit. NBC makes me want to vomit. One can all but see the pom-poms and pleated miniskirts. CBS is a little better, but Rather’s posing as an expert wears thin pretty quick. CTV has been okay. Praise Allah that I don’t get Fox News, or my tv would likely be broken.

Not watching it on TV… getting the gist of it from the SMDB or, if I have to, CBC online.

Fox News.

I listen to my local talk radio station at work, and when something happens I flip on the tv on my desk to Fox.

I do find a need to take a break now and then…that’s why I watched Friends Thursday night. It was one I missed, where Chandler quits, but I was disappointed to see it was nothing more than a clip show.

CNN

CNN. It has the greatest amount of sources in the field of all the major channels. Then MSNB, sometimes. Then ABC. I’d watch BBC more if I can remember I actually have BBC when I’m watching the news.

BBC World, and ABC mostly. During the day I listen to NPR.

I can’t watch CNN because Peter Arnett drives me crazy with his personalization of the reports “Do you see that Tom?” “That was loud Tom!” “It’s dark here Tom.” Peter, I know you’re talking to Tom, will you knock it off?

But since two people have brought it up… I haven’t found that much difference between the BBC and American newscasts. The folks who are claiming that “propaganda” machine sure are seeing something I’m not. This of course, only counts for the raw coverage, not the talking heads, who I ignore anyway. Isn’t it funny how you see what you expect to see? It reminds of the folks who scream * Left-wing liberal* or Jewish controlled media!

Ugh, I can’t stand Aaron Brown, and CNN’s barrage of graphics, scrolling headlines and video feeds going bad is enough to drive me crazy.

I prefer ABC, Peter Jennings “arrogance” notwithstanding.

FoxNews, and some KTLA (local Los Angeles station). I like Hal Fishman (anchor of KTLA News).

Compared to NorthWest Cable News, it’s all good.

MSNBC, FoxNews and BBC America. Mostly MSNBC or the BBC. FoxNews is just for variety.

FoxNews it my choice, but we also surf ABC,NBC,CBS, and were ardent listeners of NPR long before GW decided to get on with it.

I’ve stayed away from the daytime talk on AM radio. Usually I do listen to Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh, but I really don’t think I could stomach thier brand of infotainment right now.

NPR and The New York Times Online, and occasional CNN.com. I tried watching NBC’s coverage, but with the graphics and the news ticker and everything else, it looks like a poorly designed computer game. And I’d prefer to read about it - easier to scan for relevance and pick out what I want.

I think I’m going to be the last surviving print jounalist. You’ll have to pry my keyboard from my cold, dead hands.

I was never a fan before, but I’ve found Peter Jennings to be the most tolerable. He’s says fewer stupid things than the others. I don’t have cable, so I’m stuck with the networks.

Peter Jennings is providing the least “wargasmic” tele hosting.
He has gravitas. Aaron Brown seems to have skipped his meds.
Try alternating Fox, MSNBC, and C-Span viewer call in for an odd wag the dog mood.

Fox News, even though I have not forgiven Fox for 1) That “Moon Hoax” travesty and 2) Cancelling “Futurama”. I occasionally switch over to MSNBC to look at Ashleigh Banfield who, as noted in another thread, is a a babe, and Chris Matthews, who I find entertaining, even more so now that they’re parodying him on SNL.

Hey, does everyone who said Fox get ribbing? Gonna need a big vat of barbecue sauce…

has “futurama” really been canceled? I saw it listed in tv guide a couple of weeks ago but they showed a “simpsons” instead. but they interrupt it so much. i hope that was a joke, weird al.

I watch CNN unless Aaron Brown is on. He’s really odd.

Fox News, just don’t like the journalist on the other stations.
