On what channel are you watching the war?

Though there are probably some people who genuinely flip around with no preference, I assume that most people have a default war-watching channel. That’s the station you turn to when you first wake up in the morning, or when you hear that there have been important new developments. For me it’s CNN, though the networks, from what I can tell, are doing just as good a job.

To keep this friendly, please, let’s limit ourselves to only a gentle ribbing for the first peson to say “FoxNews.” [insert smiley face.]

FoxNews!
Where’s my ribs?

No, I watched the speech on Wednesday on Fox, but that was more because I’m a college student and I don’t have cable. Someone mentioned fox was channel 3, so I went there.

Course, it was a lot more fun because a friend brought in a stupid drinking game specifically for the war … stuff to laugh at. Like among the other things the president said, which I will not repeat here, less I hijack the thread

but I prefer cnn.com for online stuff. I never go anywhere else.
If I was at home, I would have probably watched NBC.

CNN, of course. I can’t watch MSNBC because of Savage, and I can’t watch Fox because…well, then I may as well just be making stories up in my own head.

I’d watch it on broadcast, but that’s not 24 hours a day, and CNBC is just so dry. So, it’s CNN for me.

FoxNews.
No, really.

Mostly MSNBC, because they’ve got Peter Arnett. But I switch around alot.

When the really exciting stuff is happening, I’ll flip through the channels to see how many broke into regular programming to cover the war live. (Record so far = 18.)

HBO.
Honestly, Mr. Singular watches more than enough of the war for both of us, so I usually watch a movie and surf the SDMB for some escape while he’s asleep. Otherwise, it’d be MSNBC 24/7 in this house, and that would drive me batshit.

Fox News. Don’t like it? Good!

skyNews

I don’t like Wolf Blitzer or that anchor on CNN but I still watch it. Fox has the best visuals. I switch between those and Peter Jennings acting arrogant.

NPR, my kids don’t need to see bombings. I’ll watch BBC World News (on BBC America) if it’s on before they wake up.

Is Wolf Blitzer his birthname?

I’ve found many sites saying it IS, but a few disagreeing.

Any info would be appreciated… Wolf Blitzer – right name, right career, right time.

I’m sure he would never have been so popular during the WWs.

Foxnews… I can’t stand Aaron Brown’s voice, its so goddamn nasal.

CNN or NBC, depending on my mood.

Sky News.

BBC World.

I watch one of the American channels or Sky if I want a really good laugh at a bucketload of propaganda.

I’ve watched it on NBC, MSNBC, BBC World News, CNN, FOXnews, and I’ve listened to NPR.

CNNj (CNN’s new Japan network), CNBC, and NHK’s BS-1 (true! BS=Broadcast satellite, although much of their usual programing is BS). BS-1 has been carrying mostly ABC coverage, but also carries BBC world, PBS, Al Jazzira (SP?), and various other networks (in the native languages).

I’ve been sticking to NBC for the most part. Sometimes CNN but Wolf Blitzer gets on my nerves.

Anyone see Tom Brokaw and his table o’ generals start to break down while talking about the troops yesterday?

CNN, but ABC when they have coverage.

I flip back and forth between MSNBC and Fox News. Sometimes I will check out ABC if it’s a thing that is carried by all the networks.
Only ones I won’t watch at all are CBS and CNN.
