Once more, with feeling: what's on your desktop?

In stark contrast to the top of my actual physical desk, I like simplicity and minimal icons. Lately, since I have been extremely stressed out, I have been alternating between various pictures which make me burst into fits of nearly-uncontrollable giggles, like this one.

Share, I command thee!

That is a weird ass bird! (He gave me the giggles, too.)

I have this as mine.

I tend to accumulate lots and lots of icons on my desktop, usually from a file or something I’ll use once and then never again. Every few months I clean it up and get back to a more minimalist state, with just links to programs I use a lot.

Now is in between one of those cleaning sessions.

(At this point I just hope I don’t have any embarrassing files on my desktop for all to see…)

Nothing exciting. Just Eta Carinae.

I’ve been using a different picture of flowers from my garden every day lately. I’m so sick of winter and they cheer me up. This one is there today, I used this one yesterday, and I’m using this one tomorrow.

Some hotness and too many desktop icons for my liking:

Here’s my desktop.

I’m in full blown winter escape mode so mine looks like thisright now…

Before upgrading my 17" monitor to a 22" widescreen I was using this shot of the california coast from my 2006 vacation.

Since then, I’ve been using the left image of this set.

A beautiful inflight photo of a 1931 Stinson Trimotor airliner. (It’s the second pic on the page.)

Nevermind

Lovely - beautiful flowers. I’m using this picture of my lollypop Asiatic lily from last summer. It’s a gorgeous flower - it starts out almost pure white, and gradually pinks up as it ages.

My dogs keep me company (and remind me of summer) in the office.

This,

Why can’t I link any more?

A photo I took the other morning of a duck on our pond.

Q.E.D., that looks like a creepy brain.

3acres, I love that photo!

Your coding doesn’t have an equal sign.

Wallpaper.

Is that what you meant?

I rifled through the Life archives on Google.

This is what’s on my laptop.

Here’s mine:

The clouds are live (well almost… updated every few hours).

Disclaimer: I’m financially involved in this software (but it’s still very cool).

This is what I’m using right now.

I’ve had this up for a while. Most people think it looks cool. And then some of them look closer and start laughing.
