I’ve spent about 2.5 years in Iraq and the point I try to drive home to people in the US is that the problem isn’t that the police are infiltrated by Shia militias; the problem is that the police IS a Shia militia. I’ve posted here before on autrocities my Iraqi staff witnessed the police taking part in. We’ve created hell on earth and now we’re going to wander off.
