One step closer to being Mrs. Doors...

Well, today was it. I’m in Minnesota, and my ex and I just got back from court. The paperwork is on the judge’s desk, and all it needs is a signature (which he’s already done, for all I know) and I’m officially and legally divorced.

We had to go to court because my silly ex didn’t bother to read the instructions before he filled out the petition. Basically, a divorce filing consists of three sets of identical questions. There were some answers that contradicted others, and some of the required information was missing. So the judge didn’t have the information he needed to finalize it. Of course, if my silly ex HAD read the instructions, this would’ve been all over with in February instead of April. Oh, well. At least it’s over now. And at least it wasn’t a bitter divorce. For whatever reason, the marriage just died, but we’ve managed to remain pretty good friends.

So, I’m going to be a single girl for another six weeks or so, when Airman and I tie the knot. You’d think I’d’ve learned by now.

Run while there’s still a chance! No? OK then, let’s party til you are tied down to old What-his-name! Unwed mothers unit, let’s drink juice and play Uno til dawn! ( What did you expect? She IS pregnant, can’t get too wild!)
