One-Syllable Challenge Redux: What Do You Do For A Living? (Game)

:smack: Oops! that should be knows about laws and sues folks.

Nice try.

Some of us that know law and sue do not sleep so well, too. This is why the God of Storms to whom I would pray if I were to pray makes stuff that gives a buzz.

Share some with me. Tea with mint and fleurs does not give me a buzz!

Glad to share. You will need a long straw to reach from that red leaf place to where I am, though…

I look at clothes and see if we want to sell them. I sit in a chair, stare at the screen, and think up a price for the goods. I price the goods and throw them in a bin. On some days, I take the bins down from the rack, pick up a gun, and tag the goods. I hang the goods on racks and put them out on the floor to sell. I sell the goods to folks who come in. I tell them what I know about the goods. I call folks to tell them to come in the next day so I can look at their clothes, if they had made plans to do so.

We take in and sell gear, clothes, and needs of small babes, large babes, and their moms who may or may not be with child.

I will play this safe and just say that I do what she does.

It’s a much-plus good job for sure.

You can find out how to write to me if you click link in part that tells who I am.

Each time, the sick folk’s folks are worse than the sick folks. This is a rule. I am off to go work with sick folks now. I hope my day is a good one. The place of the sick folks won’t staff us well, so we must strain to give good care each day. This is bad and makes sick folk’s folks mad at us, and they sue us at times. I am sick of the fight and soon, once I am done with school, will check out books for some folks and look stuff up for lots more, in a still place where none yell or die. Yay!

I sort mail, but that does not mean I am nuts and blow folks heads off with a gun. In fact, I have two jobs. I work from home and I type stuff. Folks talk on a tape or a disk and I type the things they say, word for word.

In my spare time, I drink beer, belch, and scratch my arse.

What a shame you can’t do that for a job, mate!

Oooh, which one? Old or new? We use lots of mixed code for that job. None that would work in this post.

Jim

I work for a law firm that works for folks who have more dough than Og. (Might not be bad if I did, too. Have more dough than Og, I mean.) The firm helps folks who buy and sell land, those who want to merge one place where they make much, much dough with more of the same, and folks who want to sue more folks.

I type and fix those things that are used to seal a deal or to sue folks. I do this all night (from night to morn) four nights per week. The pay is not bad for what I do, but my *corps * can not take the all-night shift and lack of sleep the way it did a few years back when I was not as old as I am now.

I swear to Og, I do **not ** want to do this job for the rest of my life, so I go to school two to three days (or more, if need be) per week when I get off of work. Well, save for the fact that I do not feel real good right now, so I just went on sick leave from school for the spring term. I hope to feel good by the fall term, though. When I get out of school, I hope to get paid (dough that I can live on) to look at why folks do some of the stuff–both strange and not so strange–that they do. Who knows? This might help to fix the world a bit. Or, at least, I hope it does.

I take news stuff that’s spelt wrong and change it so it’s spelt right, and put in full stops and things like that. Plus I write the heads that tell folks what the piece is on, and what the pics are of and so on. From time to time I write a bit as well.

I work for a government agency to curb urban sprawl and make the suburbs pretty. Also, regarding attitudes towards the built environment, drag the region kicking and screaming into at least the 1980s.

And at the same time, you miss the whole point of the thread? :stuck_out_tongue:

Seems par for the course for one who works for the folks who run stuff.

Yep, I think dem folks have a law that don’t let them say words that ain’t a foot and a half long

I work at a lab. The main thing I do is pick up the phone when it rings, and help folk find who they want to talk to. Some folks here are real smart. They look at cells stuck on glass and find out if things are fine or if they’ve gone wrong. I pay bills and buy stuff for the smart ones to work with.

At times, folks bring their kids here. They want to know who is the dad. I wipe cells out of their mouths with a brush and give it to the smart ones so they can find the truth. To work with those kids’ moms and dads is both a lot of fun and a big pain in the ass. It can get me scared too, but those times are few.

I teach folks to kick butt and take names. If they need to, they can leave out the names.

I teach chess, games like Civ (and D+D) at a school.

I love my job.
