Can anyone recommend a good online service for obtaining upcoming television listings? I’ve tried www.tvguide.com which didn’t help. ClickTV got me a little bit closer, but I’m looking for a service that has a ton of detail about specific shows and specific times they will be on. Anyone?
I like http://www.ultimatetv.com/ myself.
Another possibility would be to go to Yahoo! and sign up for a “My Yahoo!” account. You can customize the “My Yahoo!” page to show movie listings for local theatres, television listings, news items, etc…
Forgot the link.
I like http://www.tvgrid.com. It allows you to customize your cable/off air/satellite system. You can do searches for your favorite star/show/movie and have the service e-mail you when that star/show/movie is going to be on. It has listing for up to 2 weeks.
Well, I actually found what I was looking for by doing a creative, extended search on ClickTV. But thanks to all for your suggestions!
Trumpy303: ClickTV and UltimateTV also have those features.
I use ClickTV. UltimateTV seems to give pretty much the same information. They both give program synopses in the grid. This is a must for me, because I save each page of listings and use them off-line.
I took a quick look at UltimateTV and came up with the a few differences.
grid features: UltimateTV has small text and lots of network logos and other graphics. ClickTV has adjustable size text and few graphics.
Program start other than on the hour or half-hour: ClickTV gives no indication of this. UltimateTV doesn’t indicate this on the grid, but if you’re online and you click on the program title, exact starting time is given (along with other info).
I also noticed that for today, ClickTV gave the (scheduled) synopsis for 60 Minutes II, but UltimateTV didn’t.
Any other comparisons that are important to you?
