When I’m surfing the dope and then decide too watch TV it’s always a PITA to have to go to the slowly scrolling “what’s on” channel to see the shows coming up. This is a page from AOL that will give you your local listings and shows. The link is my cable provider to change it to yours click on the Change Location/Provider and enter your zip and service provider.

www.tvguide.com and www.zap2it.com have a similar feature. I agree, very useful.
The Change Location/Provider link is near the top left under the city and cable provider listed.
I like tvguide.com. Hover the cursor over the show name and it pops up a balloon with a capsule description of the show, usually with a detailed episode summary and principle cast.
Yahoo also has TV listings.
Do any of these work for Canada?
Yep, that’s the one I use. In addition to having nearly all the other features mentioned, you can use in in concert with Yahoo! Calendar to email you reminders of upcoming shows you want to watch.
I’ve been using zap2it for years. Beats the hell out of buying TV guide.
