I’m sorry, we’re only adding ONE smiley? All this trouble for ONE new smiley? Arnold has been spending hours on this for ONE new smiley? Pre-polls, ATMB threads, a practice poll, pit threads and six real polls all for ONE new smiley?
Two different “ambivilant” (16 and 41) choices, two different “evil” (6 and 48) choices, two different “pirate/hijack” (13 and 25) choices, two different “yuk/barf” (21 and 42) choices, a fucking “bloody homocidal clown” choice ALL FOR ONE FUCKING NEW SMILEY?!!
I think the whole thing can be neatly summed up with only ONE MOTHERFUCKING SMILEY and it isn’t new.
Hear hear! I think we should have added all the new ones being voted on–that’s right, ALL of 'em.
But then (this is the tricky part), much more entertaining polls should have been opened, in what I gather is Survivor-style, to start voting them all way, one by one, until we ended up months later with only one.
Unless the winning vote in the second round is no new smilies, in which case we won’t be adding any.
But seriously, we have some posters / moderators that hate smilies, and some posters / moderators that like them. We thought this would be a compromise.
How about a variation on the Survivor theme? Start with, say, 100 smilies and cull them if they’re not used a certain number of times in a specified period.
Oh YAY. I’m sure it will continue to be a huge, all important event. I’m sure the Teemings are shivering with anticipation thinking about the next 60 polls.
I can’t even imagine what those revered Smiley Creators are thinking up next. I know I’m counting the days until I have to choose between :pikachu: and :sailormoon:
