If you don’t think squirrels are hung well, you probably haven’t seen many squirrel’s nuts. Those things are huge in proportion to their body. Now if you meant a God with nads the same size as a squirrel’s that would be different.
Yeah, I think the vegetarian thing is absolutely nothing but an attention grab. She started that book thread just to announce what a wonderful, “ethical” person she is for being opposed to leather. Then she compared holocaust victims to cattle (before running away to hide behind her self-serving Livejournal page and her ignore list).
I bet she scarfs bacon double cheeseburgers by the half dozen if nobody’s watching.

Well…to be absolutely fair, I just noticed she was perfectly pleasant to me in this thread in Cafe Society, which just popped back up on the front page.
But I won’t argue that in some of these other threads she sometimes comes off as overly abrupt, rude or at the very least a little lacking in tact.
Also, she’s an artist. In case you forgot.
I know I’m, like, five pages behind, but I just need to say, I think there are more than ethical grounds not to eat God’s Eyes. Like, how they’re made out of wood and string.

She worked it out, though. I’ve been wondering whether I should post a follow-up thread to tell the end of the story, but I wasn’t sure anybody would really care. Anyhow, she got herself under control and is back to normal.

I’m not sure that she specifically said she wanted money for plastic surgery, but she did use Fathom to raise a bunch of money and then went to South America to get her gastric bypass surgery done. Since one of her refrains is about being economically disadvantaged, the whole intercontinental cosmetic surgery just seemed odd to me.
I realize she’s one of the anointed around this place, but honestly, I don’t see the problem here. I spake truth.

The plastic surgery funding has been mentioned several times. I’m pretty sure I’ve read every post in this hilarious thread, including at least one other person asking for a link to such, but I haven’t seen a response.

Id like to know her fundraising technique. My message board gets a lot more traffic than Fathom, but my fundraising efforts last year earned enough for … well, it could have bought me a nice plasma television, but I needed the money to keep the site running while I was laid off. Were people giving her hundreds of dollars? If only the SDMB had that kind of support …
I think she sells stuff related to her website, and there are possibly donations and that as well. I am fuzzy on all the details because it was a while ago, but I remember the discussion entirely because of the trip to South America for the weight loss surgery.
Though, if you are looking for ways to generate more cash from your site, perhaps Opal is the person to ask.
