Howdy Y’all! Deheathenization (a good number of folks but not too crowded), and excellent, if’n I do say so myself, N.O,L., a dip in the cee-mint pond, nappage, and then general chillage made for a great Sunday here at da cave. Steaks are marinatin’ and beer is chillin’ for men’s night tomorrow night, and the biiiiiiiiiiiig trash can has been hauled all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. All is well.
{{{nellie}}} it is, indeed, OK to be sad. One can remember the life of a loved one and be sad at the loss as well.
MOOOOOOM I paid to get da cave painted last time it was painted (three years ago). I much prefer to paint that way. I hates to paint I does!
red glad Nelson had fun with his heathen doggie friends.
Now 'tis time to look around on these here intartoobz.
You or FCD can anonymously report him as a medically impaired driver and that way when he goes in they will take extra scrutiny of his mentation and driving skills. He’ll never know. Bet I don’t need to tell you that if they do refuse to renew his license, he still will drive, just without a license. The only way to prevent it is to sell his vehicle. I’ve taken care of countless little old men and this is what they do-until they get confused and drive into the side of a brick building and total the car. Which does tend to solve the problem. In all my years of home health nursing I knew only one guy who stopped driving even though the car was still in his garage-after two years he gave the car to his daughter who lived the next state over. He had mild dementia, which caused him to drive the wrong way down a one way street and had one car accident, which added a brain injury to the mild dementia. Other than him (he was a lawyer, maybe that helped) you have to put not only the keys but also the car out of reach. Ok, getting off my nursey soapbox now.
As someone who’s played the “senile? or drunk?” game BEHIND someone who’s clearly impaired … it’s no fun. Either way, they’re bouncing off the guard rails.
No comment on the driving, I just hope when the day comes I can still remember this discussion and get myself off the road. Here’s hoping things come around, FCM
And {{{nellie}}}; the hole in your heart never goes away; I guess they’re trying to close it some. Take care.
And all the best to all y’all; this was a pretty much nothing day, albeit I did make my list for next week up and included a couple activities, so I might even get dressed properly tomorrow…catch you on the next MMP.
