A billion views does not equal a billion people. It’s probably a thousand 12 year old girls watching it nonstop for a week, over and over again.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Psy’s got a new single, Hangover, that was released today. It’s not another Gangnam Style, but I don’t think anything ever will be.

Good god. That was unwatchable.
I predict that this song will be a huge hit. Not like Gangnam Style was, but a huge hit nonetheless. The target demographic is gonna eat it up. I bet this is one of the biggest club/EDM songs of the year as well as a Youtube and iTunes hit.
And ddamn it sure is great to hear that Snoop can still rock the mic like that.
Hundreds of millions of dollars areabout to be made by a video of someone throwing up.

Meh. Not much of a song. They forgot Psy’s main appeal is funny dancing.

I’ve watched Gagnam Style a bunch of times though; it makes me smile every time.
I thought the video was fine. Like before, Psy acting silly. And hangovers are a fact of life for a lot of young people so that’s not the issue. The issue is that the hook doesn’t. The video for Gangnam Style made it blow up but the song itself is catchy. This song just drones on and no clever staging is going to make up for that. Gentleman was a decent song and the video followed the Gangnam Style style and it wasn’t a huge hit in America either. Even with Snoop being smooth, Hangover has no chance.
20 million views in just over 24 hours. Near as I can tell, it’s in the top 10 downloads on iTunes as well. It’s already an international hit.
I think it will do just fine. Even I think “Hangover” is good, and I didn’t really like Gangnam Style.
Hmmm, maybe that’s why it will fail, because it appeals to old monkeys like me.
I turned it off after two minutes. Not nearly as good as “Oppa Gangnam Style” IMHO.
Maybe it’s just me then. I’ve been wrong before. So far I’ve heard nothing of the song anywhere other than here. Lets see if that changes.
It actually gets good about 2:30 and after. I agree though that the first cpouple of minutes were annoying.
I saw it yesterday on Youtubes main page.
It’s not completely clear if that’s a Psy song or a Snoop Dogg song.
