Psst. What, am I on your ignore list? ![]()
… but you didn’t even explain what x3 meant, which was the important bit !
OK, so I skipped your post, sorry
OK, catching up a few pages:
1: Why on Earth does anyone thing Nale is smart? We’ve seen no evidence whatsoever in the comic that he’s any smarter than Elan. The only intellectual difference between the two we’ve ever seen is that Elan realizes he’s an idiot.
2: Rich has said that Monster-San is not something he just made up, but he has not said that he comes from anywhere within the game. Until the ESCAPE bit, my preferred hypothesis was that he was the Son of Godzilla, but I’m not sure that can really be reconciled.
3: In regards to the timeline, in the sequence where Kazumi is visibly pregnant, at one point she complains about “six months of hemorrhoids” from the pregnancy (which started 8 weeks before the wedding). Granted, the hemorrhoids wouldn’t have started immediately, but I think she was speaking figuratively, and that the pregnancy as a whole was 6 months along at that point. Either way, though, that puts that scene at either 4 months or somewhat more after the wedding scene.
And Osmium - or rather Osmium Tetroxide, which will form the surface of the golem - is highly poisonous.
New one’s up. Looks like V’s “Always attack everything” mindset isn’t that rare among elves.
Implosion. Eww.
Sneaky - having a plant in the prison!
You said it.

What are the little red guys with bat wings?
This one’s taking a turn for the grim. So much for the resistance.
Probably barbazu (bearded devils).
That’s gotta sting.
Personally, I’m afraid of any devil that has O-Chul’s hairstyle.
This strip, incidentally, is the first confirmation we have that Redcloak is 17th level. Which makes him seriously badass.
Agreed, although Redcloak’s comment (“Nothing quite like the feel of a new spell level”) does make it clear that he’s just reached 17th level.
Nitpick: he could be higher level. He might have multiclassed. Or taken a Prestige Class that delays spellcasting a level or two. All we know is that he can now cast 9th level spells.
Nitpick granted, though any class or combination of classes that can cast 9th-level cleric spells is quite scary indeed.
Of course he’s badass, he’s a cleric. In D&D 3.5, that’s all you need to be insanely overpowered ![]()

What are you talking about ? Who doesn’t get a happy when elves get killed in gruesome ways ? Although I guess then they’re just dead elves, not dying elves telling you where to find their friends, so they’re not quite the *best *elves. But close enough.
Wait, I’m confused. Are we talking about seventeenth level or ninth level?
Both. Upon leveling up to the 17th level, clerics get access to one (2? I’m not a DnDer.) spell from the class of spells labeled 9th level. Here’s a chart.
Seventeenth level **character **but ninth level cleric spells. DND uses level to mean a few different things.
