Perhaps this isn’t actually Xykon, but an illusion. One perhaps created by those runes they don’t understand, some kind of “manifest your greatest enemy” illusion.
I’d agree it was possible, if Redcloak weren’t right behind him,
And would an illusion really say that?
Someone on another forum made an interesting point about that:
We can’t see Redcloak’s face. Which is significant, because the OOTS last saw him without the eye patch - if this version has no eye patch, it immediately gives away to the readers that something is out of place.
More likely than the real Xykon - he seems to have a serious problem recalling who Roy is.
Holy crap! I was reading through the comic slowly so as not to miss any tiny details, and when I got to the last panel I smacked my hand down on the table so hard I made the dog jump up and look guilty.

According to the Twitter feed, the title is “Silence is Golden (Or At Least Electrum).”
“But Roy, you just-” what? I can’t work out what Elan was about to say.
Roy said, “No breaking the fourth wall.”
So, Elan was going to say, “but you just broke the fourth wall!”
At least, that’s my take on it.

Love the crayon look to the new web page. Reminds me of the Scribble strips, way back when. The theory I like for the DDoS attack is that it was linked to the recent vote on CISPA as a way of showing people what the Internet will be like if their favorite sites get taken down. I still hope the hackers are found and prosecuted though.
I think Der Tris is onto something. If it actually is X though, and V is on the way to rejoin the party, do we think that X will recognize non-Darth V, or just treat V as another caster to spam Energy Drain at? I know the Order has Plot Armor of the Gods, but if Team Evil were actually here, how many rounds would it really take for X and RC to turn the Order into a pink mist?
Maybe. The simplest explanation is that some people are just trolls.

If X really is an illusion, Roy might be tipped off by his sword not showing the green glow when it strikes.
But it doesn’t always glow, so he wouldn’t know at the first swipe.
One thing’s for certain: Xykon entering most certainly runes the Stick’s plans.
