:smack: I just got it. Thanks!
Second time he used the joke, too.

Why does this strip come out in such fits and starts? For about a month or so, we get maybe one strip per week if we’re lucky, but I think there’s been like 4 in the last 8 days.
Rich sometimes has health issues.
Aside from that, he’s a professional writer, OOTS isn’t his only project, he writes sourcebooks for various RPGs. It could be that during the recent slow period he was working on something else, with a deadline to make.
Or maybe it was a period of writer’s block, where he had trouble thinking up jokes to keep the strip funny. It happens to even the very best writer.
What the what? He’s back already! #711: The Rouge’s Guild.
And that’s not a typo. ![]()
Not a typo, and thereby frighteningly apropos.
Why is it that my subscription to this thread is always a better indicator of a new strip than the strip’s own RSS feed?
Ok. That made me snort.
I wonder whom will eventually get the information they need. Can anyone recap who they are looking for?
They’re looking for the allies/followers of Girard Draketooth (the guy who’s the gate’s guardian), in the hope that his allies will tell them where the gate is.
“Supporting unrealistic expectations of what a female adventurer should look like since the art in First Edition.”
Damn that Larry Elmore!
Sort of a meta-joke there with the typo. God, I always get so tired of that typo with ignorant gamers. Especially back in the early days of WH40K when the only rule book was “Rogue Trader.”
I used to make that mistake so often that now I pronounce the word as “Ro-Goo” in my head, just to be safe.
I’m wondering if the “Belkar searches a brothel” strip will have to wait for the next book.
Well, Haley did put down her occupation as “rouge” in Origin of PC’s.
Ha! My RSS feed finally beat this thread.
I don’t understand the title.
Neutralize *self *, perhaps? Is that a spell in D&D?
Neutralize Poison, like Elan used is. But the elf was already neutralized, thus the joke.
Yes, I can see that *neutralise poison *is a spell. But why *elf *instead of poison. Is there some sort of pun there?
