New strip

“Macebook”. That’s too funny.

Kotor, Paladin of Marduk is smackin’ dragons, yo.
Kotor, Paladin of Marduk has updated his location.
Kotor, Paladin of Marduk has joined the group Need a Rez

Captain, you missed an important part of the joke.

Nyr-Azul, paladin of Tiamat has updated his location.
You see, Tiamat is goddess of Dragons and might object to dragon slayers. The implication is that she sent a paladin to kill Marduk.

People, I don’t follow this … whatever it is … at all, so I’m taking someone’s word for it that the post above this was a spoiler – may I just remind you to be courteous to your fellow fans of … whatever this is … that not all of them already know … whatever … so please use spoiler boxes.

Thanks,

I think the word you’re looking for is “comic strip.”

It’s a webcomic. And nothing in Captain Amazing’s or Peter Morris’ posts needed to be spoilered.

I disagree. Anyone quoting a joke from the newest comic might just spoil it for anyone who hadn’t read it yet. I reported it, and spoilered my own post.

It certainly didn’t *hurt *to add the spoiler box.

Eh. The link to the new comic was two posts above any of the stuff that got spoiler boxed. Anyone who scrolls past the link instead of clicking it to read the new comic is probably not too concerned with spoilers. I wouldn’t worry about that in the future.

You know… Maybe I am reading too much in a webcomic, but I feel a twinge of pity for Elan.

Simpleminded, yes, but such a fundamentally nice person. His thoughts in today’s comic appear to express a very deep sorrow: He has always missed a “father figure” in his life, or at least a “big brother” figure of some sort. The closest he has found is Roy, and now he has found his real father… And he daydreams… And his daydreaming is so telling!

I almost feel like hugging him (in a strictly buddy-buddy heterosexual sense, not that there is anything wrong with the alternative) :stuck_out_tongue:

New strip.

“Bathing the orangutan.” I’ll have to remember that one.

“We need to break Roy out of there! … And then decide what to do about Belkar.”

OK, even having already seen silenus quoting it, that last panel still had me laughing uncontrollably.

Also note the way a Lawful empire works: The guard isn’t saying that’s what he thought happened; he’s just reporting “That’s what he said, sir.”.

Elan’s dad seems like a really nice guy. Evil, but nice.

You can really see where Elan and Nale come from. It’s so horrible.

Mmm, I dunno. I’m waiting to see where this all leads. Elan is certainly accepting him at face value, but I hope Haley keeps a sharp eye out for both of them.

I guess that what made the “bathing the orangutan” line believable was that Haley’s hair is red.

Like, well, an orangutan’s…

And, then…

uh…

ah…

I’m overthinking this, am I not?

Well of course Elan’s dad seems nice! But that doesn’t mean that he actually is nice, just that (like Elan) he has high charisma. It is certainly interesting to see what a smart version of Elan is like, though (I still maintain that Nale is no more intelligent than Elan is; he just thinks he’s smrt).

Actually, I think Nale is medium-high-int, low-wis, Elan is low-Int, medium-high Wis. Like Edith Bunker.

V is high Int, Durkon is high Wis (and the orangutan), Haley is high-Cha and Dex, and Roy has a bunch of 18s and 17s.

I think Elan is actually pretty smart, he just plays the fool. He certainly shows evidence of cunning.
