This strip seems to disprove the theory that Haley’s mother was some kind of celestial being.
And we now know she’s not a natural redhead.

Who’s not? Haley? Of course she is; her red hair is inherited from her dad.
I think Nemo is referring to the flashback frame, but all the colors in that frame are faded from being viewed through the rain. Note that Haley’s hair in that frame is still the same color as her father’s.
Seems to, but don’t the various celestials have shapeshifting abilities?
OK, this almost certainly torpedoes my earlier speculation, now that Ian has a personal reason to be doing what he’s doing.
Wonder at what point Ian will be handing over everything he has? (Or rather, what loophole he’ll use to keep from paying up on his bet?)
Didn’t you read what he said? “I’d bet every penny I have…”
How many pennies do you think a prisoner has?
Hair genetics in OOTS-world seem to be that females inherit hair shape from mother, hair colour from father. Males do the opposite.
Was juuust going to post the link…
Anyway, I’m intrigued by the seltzer water. What else do you think goes on in those secret Banjoist rites?
Well, there’s the whole thing with the hand up…but I’ve said too much!
I guess a high priest of Banjo would be a proctologist.
ETA: How funny is it that I had to tell the Firefox spellchecker to add “proctologist” to its dictionary (poor little browser is embarrassed)?
A little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants…
Episode 774 is up.
Ouch. Wonder if he will ever make his saving throw on that.
I must be tired out from work. I cannot figure out if Haley was being truthful to her father. Not everything Haley says while under the influence of the potion a lie, is it?
She’s lying in the last thing she says to him, once she’s out of the anti-magic zone.
Nothing she’s said has been the truth, IIRC. If you’re telling the whole truth, you wouldn’t need to use Bluff.
Not even her last statement to Elan that the potion only works on things that aren’t true?
:smack:
Lord, how I hate that “I speak only the truth”/“I speak only lies” puzzle…
