Organizing / Maintaining IE Bookmarks

Hello all,

I was going through my bookmarks in IE at work today, and boy are they a mess. There’s stuff everywhere, some I want to delete, some I want to move, and some I need to look at because I can’t even tell what they are.

So, I started using Internet Explorer’s interface to try to manage these, whereupon I discovered, IE’s interface for doing this pretty much sucks. It’s difficult to move things into other folders, its slow to update, and it asks me for confirmation every time I delete something.

Does anyone know of a good freeware bookmark organizer thats a bit less unwieldy? I have a LOT of bookmarks.

Thanks in advance!

You can use Windows Explorer to manage your bookmarks in exactly the same fashion you manage all your other files. Look for a folder called “favorites,” under “documents and settings.” Alternatively, you can use the usual drag and drop methods on the drop down “Favorites” menu while IE is running.

Unclebeer, yer a genius. I don’t know why that didn’t occur to me!

Thanks!
