Orgreenic pans

I usually don’t order a lot of ‘As Seen On TV’ stuff, but I did order the Orgreenic pans. I just got them this past Saturday and I must say, they actually do work as advertised. I’ve just done eggs in them so far, but I was impressed. I did one egg over easy with no oil in the pan and it came out great! But I did do the rest of the eggs with a couple spritzes of cooking spray to add some flavor and because it just didn’t seem right to cook eggs without some fat.

I think I might order the whole set when I can afford it.

Did you “blow” the cooked egg out of the pan?

Never even crossed my mind. Probably could have though.

So, how you dooin?

Seriously though, thanks for posting this. I keep seeing these advertised, and am tempted, but I have this strong bias that any company that devotes that much budget to advertising must not have a very good product. Almost any non-stick pan works well when new…I am most curious how they hold up over time and withstand abuse.

The only drawback is that you have to season them before use and they recommend then doing it a couple of times a year.

I got one of these for the holidays as a gift and it’s really great so far. I’d guess I use it a few times a week and there was only one time I thought “I should’ve used a different pan”: when cooking some chorizo. I don’t often cook such fatty things so I never noticed this before, but there was a whole lot of oil in the pan.

My usual choice for this type of thing is a cast iron skillet, which is porous so the amount of fat would not have been so noticeable. I had to drain it halfway through in order for it not to just simmer in it’s own fat.

I have a Green Pan, got it at a cooking store, same idea but much cheaper. I’ve had it over a year and it has no scratches and it still cleans out as easily as it did on day one. There was no seasoning required. I also bought a lid for it from Amazon and so far it has outperformed any regular non-stick pan I’ve had.
