Just add yours. Made that one other evening, as nothing other was in the house.
Winter / woman edition: 2cl of Ammareto (or other cherry based sweet alco drink), 2cl of blood orange vodka (or any other citrus based vodka), and, watch this: baby tea (Lidl’s works just fine). BTW, main ingredient in tea should be fennel.
Winter / man edition: add 5cl of normal vodka.
Summer / woman edition: cool it down and serve with ice cubes like ordinary ice tea.
Summer / man edition: ditto.
AA edition: just use syrup instead of alcohol.
I named it Fukitol. Tastes vaguely like Dr. Pepper.
Putin: take bottle of good vodka from freezer. Pour three fingers into a juice glass. Drink down in one swallow. Nostrovia!
ETA: cl = centiliter, but wtf is “baby tea”?
Baby tea is tea you can obtain from your local walmart or aldi or pharmacy. It is meant for toddlers with stomach cramps. It usually contains fennel, mint, anise, coriander and chamomile.
Hawaiian Screwdriver: Your basic vodka and OJ, to your preferred ratio, but with a dollop of pineapple juice added. When really feeling fancy I’ll add a little Grand Marnier as well.
And I got another one. I was a scout in a anti bio/chemo unit. There was strict prohibition. But one of our specialized lab soldiers provided me with a litre bottle of home lab brew 90% ethanol (from coal?)
His instructions were: mix with water in 1:1 ratio, then add a multivitamin fizzly (that we got with mre’s).
Over ice
~1 part brandy
~1/2 part cinnamon whiskey
~2-3 parts hard cider
Generous squeeze lemon or lime
Invented it one long ago Yuletide to brighten a season that had dimmed. It’s been my tradition ever since to drink one or three while decorating the tree. It puts me right in the spirit.
One night many years ago, at an SF convention when the open bar had run out of everything else, I had a Purple Passion: Grape soda mixed with scotch. By that time, I was so bombed out of my mind I didn’t care what it tasted like. I collapsed into a deep sleep soon afterward.
Every Halloween, I heat up some apple cider on the stove with a couple of cinnamon sticks. This stays on simmer all evening. I get down the crystal mugs that Uncle Walter gave me (you may use any mugs). For each drink, pour in a splash of Goldschlager (cinnamon schnapps) and a bigger splash of apple schnapps. Fill to the top with hot spiced apple cider. Puts us in a festive mood for the trick-or-treaters, and neighbors we offer it to seem to really like it. We have done this so long now that I don’t know if I originally got the idea from a recipe or not, but it’s a nice tradition.
POG juice (passion fruit, orange and guava) with rum is pretty good.
