Orly Taitz must pay!

Is this the right forum for recreational schadenfreude?

Orly Taitz has now been turned down twice by the Supremes to block the $20K fine that she has to pay for a frivolous lawsuit, which she brought to try to prove that Obama is not a citizen.

As someone says in the comments, when Clarence Thomas tells you you’re a rightwing nutjob, you really should listen!
Roddy

My God, the conspiracy has gotten to Alito and Thomas, too! Is there nowhere safe???!!!???

I’ll be in my bunk(er).

The Freepers are up in arms. I can’t believe these idiots are real sometimes. Here’s a choice proof of Poe’s Law:

It’s crazy all the way to the bone, dude.

How much has she spent trying to avoid paying $20K?

They’re not all nuts. One of the comments there: “Gee, do you think that maybe, just maybe, if rock-ribbed conservative jurist Clarence Thomas finds that Taitz’s actions were out of line, that they actually were?”

At least $100,000.

Which goes to show that she’s not going to pay up now, either. But it’s the right ruling and all. Maybe they’ll settle for putting her in the stocks instead.

I feel pretty sure she won’t pay up. I also feel pretty sure the USAO will put a lien on her dentistry office.

ETA: Whoops - looks like they already did.

“On Monday, a lien was filed on all of Taitz’s real property. Taitz said she wouldn’t give the government the satisfaction of taking her property or potentially her law license, adding she would pay the fine.”

From the article mentioned by pravnik:
"[Columbus attorney William] Mason previously has said that Taitz should have filed a writ of certiorari instead of the application for stay, arguing that an application for stay is only done in extraordinary circumstances once a case has been appealed properly by filing a writ.

Taitz has said that one doesn’t exclude the other, and on Tuesday declined to say whether she will file a writ with the high court."

I hope she will file a writ with the high court instead of giving up now. She is so close to victory!

Well if she is willing to now pay the fine I guess that shows how much her ideals mean to her right? But it does show she isn’t as crazy as we all thought. So in all this time she has only raised $1740 in donations?

Actually I hope she does fight it, and then gets sanctioned by the Surpreme Court–now that is some awesome right there!

I think she’s probably got enough stashed in donations that 20K isn’t going to matter that much. She’s batshit crazy, but I also get the feeling that some of it is an act. She’s not genuinely interested in the president’s citizenship as much as she is in advancing the financial standing of Orly Taitz. She just found an audience who’s crazy enough to buy into it and give her money.

I see a banning for that poster.

There are usually a small minority of posters in the Freeper birther threads who patiently try to explain that Orly Taitz is a nutcase (I guess some Freepers are lawyers), but they’re pretty much pissing in the wind.

There’s still some POWERFUL crazy over there. I can only read so much before I feel my brain start to melt.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Thomas and Alito were quite deliberately chosen to publicly give Orly the bad news.

How come Orly got two SCOTUS appeals for the fine? Is there an extra “bite at the apple” for crazy people?

Maybe to convince her that they REALLY do mean business? (Either that or they were bored and figured she was good for a laugh)

Shouldn’t be “extra ‘bite at the ballgag’”?
