(Mods, feel free to move this if you feel it belongs in the Game Room but I anticipate a discussion on the merits of the various movies so I though it fit better here.)

My vote for first one dropped: The Greatest Show on Earth. A corny melodrama. The plotlines were silly and the “special effects” are dated.

Changed my mind - voting for Crash, which is far and away the worst movie on the list that I’ve seen.

Out of Africa

What a dull film.

Gentleman’s Agreement – Past its use-by date

I will change my vote if there is a big-enough push behind Crash, but for now, I thought A Beautiful Mind = A Terrible Movie.

Bye bye, Titanic.

I wanted to oust Titanic, but I’ll oust Sound of Music instead. The fact that I thoroughly enjoy it does not cloud my judgement when it comes to the film.

Chariots of Fire was unengaging and unmemorable. Give the Oscar to Vangelis.

No argument from me with any of these so far. Though there’s another one I really hope gets eliminated soon.

I vote for Crash. Overrated un-subtle crap.

Me too. But I’m sure mine is one someone’s hot button list. I just wonder how we get rid of the old ones that hardly anyone’s seen.

ETA: Freudian Slit: Crash is already off the list. Pick something else, quick!

Oh, I have no doubt mine is on somebody’s hot button list. We may be thinking of the same film.

Kramer vs. Kramer

The Life of Emile Zola – awful biopic, even by biopic standards.

Not my thread, but I feel some explanation should be required for the vote. I’m more curious WHY you want it eliminated than what you are eliminating.

I’d blocked the fact that this won. ::shudder:: Seconded.

Since someones already said Titanic - Forrest Gump. Never got its so called appeal.
