What happened? Where did the Oscar Meyer Liver-sausage go?
Nobody is carrying it, locally.
Nobody can order it.
And the only other brand tastes like shit.
Is anybody else missing their OM Liverwurst?

Dad loved the Oscar Meyer liverwurst that came pre-sliced in the plastic pack. I think there were 10 slices, though there may have been 8. I guess I can stop looking for it now. There’s a local packer (at least, it’s a brand that is prevalent here) that sells the pre-sliced sausage, and it’s pretty good. But we normally just buy a chub when we want some.

Weird. Link works fine for me. I actually haven’t seen their liverwurst in ages, but the braunschweiger should be an adequate substitute. I didn’t even realize there was a difference, as it’s not particularly smokey. It just doesn’t come pre-sliced, but in a tube.

I am a great fan of Oscar Mayer Brausweiger, it made me the man I am today (60 lbs. overweight, but never mind that). Been eating it for 55 years.
Like you, the stores in North Alabama stopped carrying it, so I looked as far North as Nashville with no luck.
However, I did find it in supply in St. Louis (Schunks and Diebergs stores both carried it) and bought a 3-months’ supply there. Unfortunately, both stores are local to the region, the nearest to Tennessee is in Carbondale, Illinois.
I’ll have to look into that Amazon listing when my current stash runs out…
Oh, man! I was holding a package of Oscar Meyer sliced liverwurst in my hand and put it back in the meat case just…well, recently. I’ll look to see if it’s still there later today. We have a couple of local meat markets that make their own sausages, including liverwurst, maybe I’ll try that.
Question:
Is the cold cut that Oscar Meyer is no longer making shown in this pic? Does “liver cheese” = “liverwurst/liver sausage”?
If that is the same stuff, it explains why I have suddenly unable to find liver cheese at the local groceries 
Our Giant Eagle’s deli has braunschweiger that I buy, sliced thick. I have no idea what brand it is, but is it what y’all are discussing?

According to their website, liver cheese is still on their “cold cuts products” page, so that is still being sold.
What I assume is being talked about is the actual liverwurst, which apparently Oscar Mayer has not been making since at least 2012 (which is when that Facebook response was dated.) My recollection is like Johnny L.A.'s, that it came pre-sliced in a pack of 8 or 10. I’m having a surprisingly difficult time of finding any pictures of this product, though. All my searches are turning up either pictures of Braunschweiger or generic liver sausage.
Ditto … that’s what was making me think OM liverwurst was the exact same thing as OM liver cheese.
In any event, I don’t believe an Oscar Meyer product actually called “liverwurst” was ever sold in the New Orleans area, even while the OM liver cheese was fairly popular locally. OM Braunschweiger is not hard to find around here.
Apparently, though, OM Braunschweiger is not being distributed in TN anymore (assuming it once was), at least according to their locator and just some “within 100 miles” checks of Memphis and Nashville ZIP codes. The closest I could find is Harps grocery in Arkansas.
You can get it for 40 cents cheaper here.
