Our roomie is moving out

No, if you’ve read my other thread, not that roomie. The other one. Hereby known as Shaggy through the rest of this post.

We went out last night hanging around at the bar, and got home this morning (Ended up at a friends house afterwards and zonked on their floor. Woke up around 9 and came home.) We got home and our other roomie was awake, doing stuff. He came and sat out in the living room with us and casually looked over and said…

Shaggy: BTW I’m moving out
Irish:* When?
Shaggy: Today…

Irish and I kinda looked at each other like oh [swear]. Both of us are tight on money this month. I have no more money… just got my student finance and paid off bills and bought what was needed. I have nothing left over. Irish is working a lot less lately because his store has been slow.

Rent is due technically today, so unless we can come up with another 312.50 to cover Shaggy’s share… we’re dead. 'nother eviction notice. We always manage to get by but we didn’t have this to worry about before. I already borrowed money from my Dad and Nanna a couple months ago when we were looking last time for a place (because Shaggy was attempting to kick us out). I’ve paid back part of it but not all. I really hope I find a job soon cuz things are gonna be even tighter than they were before.

Well one thing off my mind. I was just called from the store I had an interview with yesterday… I have a job. Starting tomorrow. Thank the heavens, I won’t be making much money but it will really help.

Wait, what the heck is up with that? He didn’t give you any notice, time to find a new roomie?

No he didn’t. We came home this morning and he casually mentions that. Oh btw I’m moving out with a girl today.

We’ve had this off on thing going before. He tried to get the landlady to kick us out. Well it’s resolved… he’s gone. Or will be soon as he gets the rest of his stuff from his room.

Hopefully it’s not too messed up because we’ll be pissed if we have to clean it. Then I’ll finally have a room of my own. We’ll manage it, we were kinda hoping to move out anyway or that he would move out but had hoped it wouldn’t be like this.
