Out of respect for this poster’s wishes – Here, I will not post to the thread before it is closed.

If I may, though, I would like to wish Sampiro godspeed, best wishes, and a most sincere hope for a good outcome for this situation.

Sampiro, my thoughts and my heartfelt thanks for your many posts. You are a good 'un, and I only wish good things for you, and a good resolution to your issues.

We have never exchanged posts, really, but I do feel I know yu from what I’ve read.

I thank you for that, my friend.

So so SO sorry to see you go - I’ve utterly adored reading your posts over the years.

It’s completely understandable, considering what a terrible time you’re going through, I just hope that in time, when things are better, you’ll consider coming back.

Holy cow! I just read the pit threads and I am appalled at the people who made a point of posting in it just to be mean assholes to Sampiro.

I wish Sampiro the very best and I hope I can read his writing again some time, somewhere. If anybody gets wind of his publishing a book, please let me know, because I’m dying to read it.

I second Bluethree. The people marking snarky comments about **Sampiro **showed us more about themselves than they did Sampiro, and those images could only be measured in Angstroms. They certainly have never dealt with one or more of their parents deaths.

I sent Sampiro an email expressing my support of him. I really hope everyone who wishes him well does the same. In these quiet days of August, I’m just going to think of him taking a well-deserved vacation.

Oh, crap. I’d like to let loose with a string of invective, but this is not the Pit.

I don’t know what drives people to jump down other’s throats and disparage character etc–it shows such a lack of character and maturity. The last thread that I saw that sampiro had added value, and was “dissed” for it was the execrable one about common courtesy. How ironic.

sampiro -I don’t know you well, but I like and admire you as a poster and as a person. Your stories sometimes make me laugh, sometimes cry (frequently both), and I wish you only the best. You will indeed be missed, sir and this board will feel the lack.

Take care–of you and your mother. And write that book about her–I promise I’ll buy a copy.
