In all my years on the board and posting on various sites, I’ve learned that there are far more people who read your stuff and never say anything. For every one of us who posts, there’s at least 10 who feel the same way, but silently.
I understand why he’s leaving. Sometimes, a clean break is needed. But I don’t have to like it.

Wow, Sampiro, I just noticed that you actually got here after me. It seems like you’ve been here forever. Losing you will just be…weird. Like there will be a large hole in the Doper universe.
I know so well how it is with a sick and dying parent. My prayers and thoughts go out to you. You need all the peace you can find and if this place makes that difficult, then go, with all our blessings. Just don’t forget to come back.

I was out of town for several days and just found out that Sampiro’s leaving; what an awful surprise to come home to! I’m getting all choked up. We’ll miss you, Sampiro.

Sampiro, you will be greatly missed here, but the most important thing is for you to get out from under the stress some cloaca-snorklers have caused you and give yourself the time-out you need. Come back to us when and if you can and know you will always be welcome here.

Major bummer that Sampiro is leaving. He was witty and I loved reading about his dysfunctional family.

I’m also very glad I never get involved with LiveJournals and the “other website” that Sampiro is talking about. Seems they’re way more trouble than they’re worth.
