I’m curious as to see which of these is most popular in the Straight Dope.
Brandy
Gin
Rum
Tequila

Me, I’m a whisky man. You can give me a normal Dewar’s or a deluxe Blue Label over any drink anytime.
Then I’d say Rum is my favorite.
So, what do you say? Which is your favorite spirit?
My favorite spirit would have to be Vodka.
But, I usually just drink Bailey’s.
Vodka is just too good, and I know better.
I grew up drinking rum, but ever since I tried tequila it is my favorite.
Bourbon.
Specifically Basil Hayden’s and Knob Creek.
Then, of course, there’s Jameson.
Rye whiskey and soda water. That’s all you’ll ever need.
All good, but if I could only have one, I’d say whisky (as long as it’s not our dreadful Canadian “rye”)
If I had a choice I’d drink Bailey’s. Rum is okay, I guess, although I’d have to mix it with something else.
Vodka. (Though Aquavit is my favorite for drinking straight.)
To drink straight? Tequila. In mixed drinks? Rum.
Blended Scotch Whisky (sp. JW Black) - either “on the rocks” or with club soda
Single Malt Scotch - only neat

But to tell you the truth, if someone else is buying, I’d drink any one of those happily. 
ETA: Um, I’m not drinking right now, though, so I guess I’d have to take a raincheck… :o
I used to drink Scotch, but about 5 years ago I made the jump to Vodka.
Whiskey. Bourbon and Irish.
Whiskey. Then rum, then gin. I like Bailey’s, too, but don’t drink that straight very often- usually drop a shot in an Irish Car Bomb.
I avoid vodka like the plague (icky!) and I’ll only drink good tequila occasionally.
This is for drinking by itself, right? I know there’s a couple of mixed drinks (like Bloody Marys) that include alcohol I’m not fond of, but I can’t taste the ickiness when it’s mixed.
Can’t stand any of them. I’m not an alcohol drinker. Sorry.
Rum
and then Port.
Not sure if port strickly counts as spirits, but it is commonly made with brandy.
Whisk(e)y, tequila, brandy and rum in that order, although I’m rather particular as to what exactly I drink.
Not a spirit because it’s not distilled (although it’s a fantastic beverage).
Gin, as in “Gin and Tonic”
Drinking neat? Schnapps.
I despise vodka (though I drink it when I want to get drunk since it’s usually cheapest), gin, and whiskey.
