What is your drink of choice?

What is the one drink you place above all others, the one drink you couldn’t (or would much rather not) go without? Your favorite drink.

For poll purposes I am only listing major categories. Choose the main component; you may name a specific drink in a post if it involves mixing.

I not seeing a poll here.

The poll option takes a few minutes to show up after the OP is posted.

This is easy for me, beer. Not only is it quaffable in large quantities, but it has the widest range of flavors of all the alcoholic beverages listed. I could never get sick of beer.

I wouldn’t drink anything exclusively, but I would prefer red wine. Though not all reds.

Beer, wonderful beer.

2% milk.

I’m a bourbon guy…but not a purist. I mix with Coke (or other cola-like product). Am surprised no one has voted for Prohibition yet. Figure someone will do it just to be a smartass.

Beer, really don’t like the taste of wine or liquor.
Anchor Steam is my always-in-the-fridge beer plus trips to BevMo for single bottles of different beers to try.

Me too, Oak. Standard drink is 101 and diet coke.

I really can’t stand most beer. I’ve been able to tolerate wheat beers and even find them more or less enjoyable, but it’s a lot of work to do so.

On the other hand, I really like Captain and Coke, margaritas, and most other hard liquors either neat or straight up.

Don’t make me choose!

Vodka is the booze in my cocktail of choice, Cape Codder.

Champagne.

I voted for bourbon, but red wine is a tie or close second.

Malibu and pineapple juice is my go to drink when I’m out.

Irish, please. I like Tullamore Dew 12 year old Special Reserve when I can get it, but I’ll gladly take Tully regular in a chilled glass(no ice!).

I drink beer in the largest quantity, but I could leave it behind. If I had to.

I had to think for a moment between bourbon and tequila. I went with tequila because I’m willing to pay $70+ for my favorite bottle and rarely, if ever, spend $40 or more on bourbon. I can’t appreciate the subtleties as well and tend to mix it more often.

Also, I feel strongly that different liquors, and beers of different brewing styles, have different effects on the drinker. I love the way tequila makes me feel and I’m yet to regret any decisions made under it’s influence.

I picked brandy/cognac, although I actually drink armangac. That’s the one bottle I almost always have at home, although I always have a bottle of wine or twenty in my closet at home as well.

That said, I could live without it, or any drinks, but prefer armangac/cognac, single malt scotches, bourbons, red wine, good port and beer. Which I prefer is usually a function of my mood and the occasion.

Funny; everyone I know would say exactly the opposite.
