People have been telling me to check out this show on IFC, hey I like animated shows with odd ball humor!
The first episode is perhaps the weakest comedy pilot I’ve ever seen, the next two episodes did nothing to improve on that assessment. Animation is static and uninspired, writing which is what the show should be all about is poor.
This thing is horrible just saying.
I wouldn’t call it horrible. I love adult animation too so I TiVo’ed it. I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but I guess I was expecting something a little more comedic & subversive. It’s definitely a low-key ‘dramedy’ which is unusual for an animated show. And it’s definitely character driven, which I like. The more demonstrative & cartoon-like a character is the less I like them (the ‘Chips-a-Roy’ bully suffers of this). It’s not my favorite, but I’m still watching…
