Little known beer fact…Coors Banquet (the original Coors beer brand) is only brewed in their Golden, CO brewery, which is also the single largest brewery in the world, although a little less than 10% of the brewery capacity is dedicated ot Banquet. They produce Coors Light in breweries all over the world.
I nominate this as the most pretentious beer name.
The company synonymous with cheap frozen pot pies and TV dinners, pretentious?
I’ve never understood the obsession with using the drive-through no matter how long the lines were.
Just park and go in the damn restaurant FFS!
What, and stand in a line there without my satellite radio? ;-D
I used to think this… and then we had kids. I’d rather not take the 3 year old out of his car seat and take the 6 month old’s car seat in and then try to juggle all the food back to the car. Drive through makes things 1000x easier.
What, and walk in naked!?
Chili’s is ok. It seems pricey for what they offer.
I usually get Fajitas or Steak. I wouldn’t pay their price for a burger. I can’t see the point of ordering a mixed drink. I rather safely drive home and make my own drink.
having lived in So Cal, I was surprised to find a Taco Bell in Tijuana–why, who, when you can get better real food down the street?
The simple answer is, one doesn’t want “real” food. One wants Taco Bell. I would say I don’t get it, but sometimes I don’t want a McD’s hamburger or their nuggets, even though I know there are more “real” and “better” versions out there. But I do draw the line at Taco Bell, for myself. ![]()
Someone on this board once said, “Taco Bell is not Mexican food. Taco Bell is Taco Bell. It is its own separate category.”
I just read yesterday (or was it Friday? Long weekend fuzzies) that Taco Bell doesn’t operate any stores in Mexico BUT they have tried & failed a few times.
Taco Bell is good, and even cheap. Not super authentic, sure. And some tourists might not be adventurous, willing to risk the tijuana two step.
However, there is no Taco Bell franchise in TJ.
I agree, though it would be fair to call it “inspired by Mexican food.”
If it wasn’t me, it’s something I’ve often thought. On occasion rarely I get a craving for the tacos. But I don’t consider it “Mexican” food.
I’m surprised anyone “rates” Chili’s at all, let alone overrates it.
I live in the Hispanic part of Mesa with a taqueria on every corner and a more formal Mexican restaurant every block. Yes, there are Taco Bells as well and yes, the Hispanic locals – mostly Mexican, some Yaqui, and a sprinkling of others – frequent them. Sometimes you just feel like having Taco Bell.
The “don’t” shouldn’t be there for it to make sense.
Just saw this
I’ve had In-N-Out burgers. They’re pretty good but not eight hours waiting for good.
I knew that Kingsbury made Near Beer, but TIL that they also brew an alcoholic beer.
