I wandered by Ozzy’s website and found the following little exchange that happened on TV during an F1 race:
Martin Brundle(ex-F1 racer turned TV guy): (referring to Ozzy’s wife Sharon) “There’s been some good news for Sharon this week, I hear.”
Ozzy Osbourne: (stuttering for five or six seconds) “I’m currently writing a musical about the life and times of Rasputin, the mad monk, and they are allowing it to go on Broadway.”
Martin Brundle: “I will try and think of a question for the answer. Have you brought the dogs here?” (Ozzy’s dogs are often the subject of his rants in “The Osbournes”)
Ozzy Osbourne: “No. They are all at home shitting.”
(Cue a frantic message into Brundle’s headphones from ITV’s race director to terminate the interview - as fast as winner Michael Schumacher roaring towards the checkered flag.)
Martin Brundle: “Excellent. Thank you very much. I think we’ll move on.”
It was left to ice-cool studio presenter Jim Rosenthal to swiftly apologise to viewers.
He said: "That was probably Ozzy Osbourne’s first and last appearance on the program.
Hehe, gotta love it.
At the same time the idea of an Ozzy show on Broadway is very cool.
