Frankly I do not believe in this rumor, it is more likely to be yet again another planted “look at how horrible the MSM is with my family!” stunt. The sad thing is that the mainstream is reporting this only to debunk the history, but Palin still finds a way to assign blame to all the “gotcha” media.
This is an item that I will believe only when I see the divorce papers.
Might also serve another purpose if there is a mole in the Palin camp.
If she’s serious about a 2012 bid then she needs a tight team around her… if she let slip to 7-8 people about a forthcoming “divorce” which then ends up in the media, she knows where to apply some defenstration.
Plus she gets to kick the meeja for being all fibby and stuff.
If she were serious about a 2012 bid, she’d make a habit of showing up for party fundraising speeches. instead of developing a rep for begging off her commitments at the last moment.
If she were serious about a 2012 bid, she’d make a habit of showing up for work. Instead of developing a rep for quitting her job because our troops inspired her to give up and sometimes a point guard needs to abandon her team and walk off the court. But isn’t that the freedom to do that our troops are dying for our freedom to make awful career ending choices in this great state of Alaska, god’s favorite state? So maybe the liberal media and new yorkers and angelinos will learn what it’s like in Real America if they learn you (((Gotta Put First Things FIRST))) and god bless all the hard working men and women in the military. Snow machine.
Can someone explain to me why this year everybody suddenly started saying/writing “gotcha ya” instead of just plain “gotcha?” It sounds like some dumb blogger misspelled it as “gotchya” and the mistake propagated throughout the online word.
No, I don’t claim that any posts vanished. I just claim that people don’t own up to having pushed the story.
Let’s take the faked Palin pregnancy story for a moment, since it was to this that I drew an analogy. How many posters signed on to that story, by explicit acceptance or by uncritical or even gleeful tone when discussing it?
After it was debunked, how many made a point of saying anything along the lines of, “Gee, I was wrong to have done this?”
Undoubtedly, if the original posts were quoted, people wouldn’t deny having made them. That’s not what I said, though.
Hell, if it’ll make you feel better, I’ll own up to it. I never thought it was necessarily true, but I thought it certainly fit the facts better, and was a lot more believable than Palin’s 7-hour flight back to Alaska while in labor with a Downs Syndrome baby.
Hey, looks like I was wrong. Mea culpa.
There, do you feel better now? Wouldn’t want you to get the vapors or anything.
I don’t think it was wrong to post this thread, which is about the rumor. But if you perceive it as wrong, I apologize. Not sure to whom, but there you go.
Now I eagerly await the slew of inevitable posts by fair-play conservatives apologizing for saying Obama is a secret Muslim, that he “pals around with terrorists” because he sat on a board with a guy who did stuff before he was born, that he is anything but a U.S. citizen born on U.S. soil, and so forth. Are you going to root out those guys, or are you only bothered by rumors about Palin?
