It’s available on line. I only pay for netflix and amazon prime, so it’s either free or available through one of them.
I’m guessing that’s what made the bidet ubiquitous in Europe… one can rinse the private parts regularly and forego whole-body bathing, which was probably inconvenient and not all that much fun in the absence of hot, running water.
We have both of those. I’ll have to have a look, thanks. Don’t get to watch much TV these days, what with the baby. Thankfully, I have still been able to shower. ![]()
Well, if you’re sweating enough to STAIN underwear with SWEAT and change daily, it might be time to change more often. Seems that “rule” might not be working.
And for heaven’s sake, stay away from plastic clothing.
Why would you feel the need to make a snarky comment to a factual statement. It seems you are weak to the mob mentality. Safe place to be snarky when you feel the gang is on your side. How do you know the sweat mark wasn’t just a tiny wet spot at the crease of the leg. Posts like this detract from any kind of meaningful conversation. This topic may be meaningless to 90% but 10% might find it interesting.
How was BeeGee’s comment snarky?
How was your comment “factual”? Where is this rule listed so that we may all look up this “fact”?
How does one person make a “mob”?
Who is this “gang”?
You’re the one that brought up that you stain your underwear with sweat. It’s not our fault that you don’t tell the whole story that in fact it was not a “stain” but a “tiny wet spot at the crease of the leg”.
And you’re the only one talking about the percent of meaninglessness of this topic.
ThelmaLou, the handkerchief doesn’t work for me but I have been known to wear a chemise under the bra in winter to prevent chafing. It works well if I have the right chemise that can stay in place. Summer is more challenging. I think I might try to make a sling out of linen. Because of my size, I can’t just get a linen bra, I’d have to have one made for me. Oh Etsy…
The chemise is a great idea! I’d probably call it a camisole. That is brilliant!
There’s a subreddit where you might be able to do some research. It’s very active. Lots of info.
I laughed. Great turn of phrase!
I say that as somebody who visits Dallas & points nearby a couple to 10 times per month.
I reported this yesterday, but since there’s been no mod response, I’m gonna say that I certainly consider this to be an insult and a personal attack.
If expressing my own opinion about this is called out as ‘junior modding,’ then so be it.
Mod here.
This discussion is definitely veering towards personal attacks. As a general rule, I prefer to intervene less, not more. But I’m going to ask everyone to drop the personal attacks. That includes both beating up on HoneyBadger’s odor and HoneyBadger’s aggressive response. And Enjoy_Slurm’s jabs. And RTFirelfy’s jr. modding.
No warnings, but please move on.
I’ve noticed a marked decline in oily hair and itchy skin since I’ve transitioned from daily showers to showering 2-3 times/week.
A tiny bit of research seems to substantiate my claims almost precisely as I report. I noticed that no one commented on the fact that my hair started growing where it has not grown since I was in my twenties I have not been able to comb my hair back for 50 years because it would not grow long enough when I stopped using detergents on my hair it quit breaking off at less than 1 inch and seems to grow pretty normal now.
This is tangentially related to the “No Poo” hairwashing movement of a few years back, where people (women, mostly) stopped using shampoo and cleaned their hair with baking soda and vinegar or just water. Many found that once their bodies adjusted, their hair was less oily/greasy and generally healthier than when they were shampooing and conditioning.
It’s the “once their bodies adjusted” thing that gets me. I can’t show up to work with greasy hair.
My hair has gone the other way over the past couple of years - half the time, it feels like I’m trying to shampoo wire. This started happening months before Covid, when I was still shampooing 6-7 times a week, and it hasn’t changed much over the past year.
Yep. Or stinky - I work the night audit! Guests would complain.
I don’t think your hair will get stinky in a day!
Is the 100 stroke rule still in place for women’s hair brushing it out every night those oils might turn out to be a blessing in disguise
