Parental nightmare YouTuber Andrew Tate busted - and you won't believe by whom!

Ok, I laughed:

Imgur

And it allowed his online contender to deliver the closing line “That’s what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza boxes”.

When I heard the pizza box theory, I thought of the movie “Midnight Run”, where Deniro catches Marvin (the bumbling rival bounty hunter) when he takes a polaroid of the fugitive (Charles Grodin) and fails to notice that the motel name is on the towels in the background.

There was a real case where a criminal on the run was caught by a letter to a friend where his wife mentions a local pizza place. IIRC, it was one of those pizza-and-arcade places, where their son had a birthday party, a market that’s almost cornered by Chuck E. Cheese, except in a small geographic area where the mascot is instead a bear.

Nitpick, it was the mob boss played by Dennis Farina who noticed the motel name in the photo.

Yes. Great movie by the way.

Indeed, fantastic film. (Though a modern viewer will be struck by the astonishing number of cigarettes that get smoked.)

Finding someone via a pizza box delivery area was a literal plot point in 30 Rock:

Reminds of a case that was solved when the suspect used the term, “devil’s strip” for the strip of grass between the sidewalk and the street, which was used in a very specific part of Ohio. Don’t have the citation at hand.

that’s probably where being a Kickboxing Champion comes in handy …

or at least beats “being a chess grandmaster” by a country-mile

He inquires about what Tate did wrong, “Who are the victims? What are their names?

that, right there, is all kinds of not ok

Is/was Andrew Tate a “chess champion”? I can’t find any record or a USCF or FIDE rating and his chess.com rating from blitz games is about 1600. (Magnus Carlsen’s blitz rating is apparently above 2800).

His father, Emory Tate, was a FIDE International Master, which is an elite level for a chess player. He was apparently a pioneer, one of the first internationally ranked black players and is famous for the teaching and mentoring he did in chess.

To be fair, the clip has no context. I don’t think Carlson was demanding the names of victims of rape or sex trafficking committed by Tate.

I’m guessing he is auggesting that Tate’s pick-up artist shtik has no victims. I could be mistaken though. if anyone does know the full context of that clip, I would be grateful.

I don’t agree with that suggestion either, but that’s a different category of problematic.

Agreed.

Although as comedian Ron White explains it in a different context:

I don’t know, they take chess pretty seriously in Eastern Europe.

In fact, according to TYT, he indeed was asking just that. And, as they (I do find TYT hard to listen to) say, how the hell is anyone going to gain anything by seeing a list of random unknown victims of abuse? It amounts to the same form of stochastic terrorism that earned a billion-dollar judgement against Alex Jones.

Presented for your amusement;

I that is indeed the case then yes it’s quite monstrous. I wonder how he lives with himself.

When you don’t give a rat’s ass about others, living with yourself is beyond easy.

Here’s a paragraph you’re not gonna read every day!

“Members of the Taliban are “worried about Andrew Tate” and are “asking us if he’s free yet,” according to Sameera Khan, a former Miss New Jersey turned “anti-woke” journalist.”

Free bonus! Here’s a sentence you’re not gonna read every day!
“We are hosting a Twitter space with the Afghan Taliban to discuss the detainment of Andrew Tate.”
