So off I go with The Love of My Life for four or five nights in Paris. We will be arriving in the middle of July. (Yeah, I know.)
Where ought we to stay? I note the George V is now us to EUR925/night, by the way. Someplace where we can walk to the Metro, someplace we can walk to shopping. She likes to have breakfast in the hotel.
Ideas?
We’re going in November. We’re staying in the Waldorf Trocadero- it is our first time there so we are hardly experts.

Well, that all depends, what’s your budget and what kind of hotel are you looking for ? Just some place to crash for the night, or a Parisian hedonist extravaganza ?
Nice enough for a classy vacation. Certainly the US$2 or 300/night range is acceptable.
I just use hotels.com, most of the time…
You could go for the Millennium on Boulevard Haussmann. You can’t get a better shopping location. It’s part of a generic chain and pretty modern inside. For something a bit more French, the Hotel Louvre is good.

She is a total doll and her husband is in charge of the restaurant. It’s the best location you could imagine!
At EUR 285 for a bouble room, it might be out of the OP’s price range.
